چکیده
An increasing number of studies have demonstrated that genetic differentiation and cryptic diversity in the sea occur over considerably smaller spatial scales than previously comprehended, considering wide distribution range many morphologically defined macroalgal species. However, knowledge turf-forming red alga Caulacanthus is incomplete regarding its species diversity, as well within genus. We analyzed specimens from NW Pacific, NE Central SW SE Indian, Atlantic, Atlantic Ocean using mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI-5P), plastid ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase ( rbc L), Rubisco spacer L-S). The objectives this study were to 1) determine exhibit morphology C. ustulatus , 2) investigate present pattern species, 3) estimate degree connectivity between populations different regions. Our results revealed molecular evidence genus comprises at least seven with deep divergence, which indicative not only a strong geographical subdivision but also relatively long temporal discontinuity. Most exhibited limited geographic distribution, showing considerable divergence isolated by distance. provides greater evolutionary independence populations, undergone series allopatric diversification events.

Systematic Anatomy of the Red Algal Genus Rbodopeltist
AT PRESENT five species are known in the genus Rb odopeltis, which belongs to the red algal order, Cryptonemiales. Of these, Rbodopeltis anstralis was first found in Australia, and the other four species, R. borealis, R. setchelliae, R. liagoroides, and R. gracilis all grow in the southern islands of Japan and were described by Yamada. The first description of a species of the genus Rh odopelti...

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
An experimental approach to study the biosynthesis of brominated metabolites by the red algal genus Laurencia.
The production of labeled brominated metabolites with radioactive (82)Br in Laurencia species was investigated as part of a study of the biosynthesis of halogenated metabolites from species belonging to the red algal genus Laurencia (Rhodomelaceae, Ceramiales). Radiobromide [(82)Br], thin-layer chromatography (TLC), and TLC-autoradioluminography (ARLG) were used. When cultured in artificial sea...
